Oceania Cruises has appointed Jason Worth to the newly created role of international sales vice-president.
Currently sales and general manager for the Asia Pacific region, Worth assumes the new role with immediate effect and reports to Nikki Upshaw, global sales senior vice-president.
He has held various positions with the company – a subsidiary of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings – since joining in 2011. His posts have included Australia and New Zealand sales vice-president from 2019 to 2022; and finance and accounting vice-president for the Asia Pacific region at parent company Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings.
Worth will oversee sales teams in the UK, Europe, Latin America and Brazil, as well as Asia Pacific, with the following Oceania Cruises direct reports: Louise Craddock, sales director, UK and Ireland; Maik A. Schlüter, business development director, DACH; Riet Goetschalckx, sales director, CEMEA; James Sitters, sales director, Australia and New Zealand; and James Thomas, sales operations manager.
Upshaw said: “I am delighted that Jason will lead our international sales team. Nurturing relationships between our travel partners and our international sales team is at the heart of our business, helping us flourish over the past 20 years.
“This will play an equally important role in our growth plans for the next 20 years and beyond.”
Also reporting to Worth are Frank Medina, LATAM and Brazil vice-president, responsible for all three NCLH brands (Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises) in the region; as well as Constance Seck, sales director for southeast Asia; Holly Kong, sales director for East Asia; and Chisato Morita, general manager for Japan, with the latter three being dual-branded, overseeing Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
Worth’s appointment sees a promotion for Sitters to sales director for Australia and New Zealand. Sitters was most recently business development manager.
Worth said: “I am honoured to take on this new challenge and look forward to working closely with my global colleagues as we chart a course in the next phase of the evolution of Oceania Cruises.”
Frank A. Del Rio, president of Oceania Cruises, added: “I am proud to have the best sales team in place for the best-in-class cruise brand in the world.
“With a vibrant and dynamic future ahead for Oceania Cruises, the revitalised international sales team, coupled with the invaluable support from our global travel partners, will ensure our award-winning brand continues to go from strength to strength.”
Oceania Cruises’ fleet will grow from seven to eight ships with the addition of a second 1,200-guest Allura Class ship, which debuts in 2025.
