P&O Cruises launches food and drink inspired holidays

Celebrity chefs will be sailing on board P&O Cruises this year for a series of food and drink inspired holidays.

P&O Cruises ‘Food Heroes’ Marco Pierre White, Olly Smith, José Pizarro and Kjartan Skjelde will join guests across the fleet for demonstrations, talks and hosted dinners.

Guests will also have the opportunity to meet the chefs and participate in cooking masterclasses and wine tastings.

Marco Pierre White will host masterclasses and dinners in The Cookery Club when on board Britannia.

He said: “Whether I am designing menus for the celebration night or doing a cookery demonstration for guests on board in my Cookery Club, I know that it has to make a holiday truly magical and memorable.

“Classic dishes made with seasonal and local ingredients will always create a fantastic dining experience.”

Olly Smith heads up The Glass House restaurant and bar on board Iona, and will help guests choose a variety of wines from across the world, to pair with a tapas menu created by José Pizarro.

Smith said: “It’s a joy to help guests choose the perfect drink to enjoy after a day exploring a spectacular destination or to accompany José’s glorious tapas in The Glass House.

“There is a wine out there for every palate and I love to give guests the opportunity to discover new grape varieties and styles for themselves.”
