Princes Cruises has decided to extend its policy of requiring all passengers on ex-Southampton departures this year to be fully-jabbed.
In June, the line announced that non-vaccinated passengers could sail on Regal Princess from September 30 and from October 5 on Sky Princess (pictured).
Today, Princess said: “The health and safety of our crew and guests remains our top priority and following a careful review of the current situation with the global pandemic we have decided to continue our policy of requiring all guests to be fully-vaccinated.
“The policy will apply to the remainder of our cruises departing from Southampton in 2021.”
Regal Princess will offer UK departures until November 3 and Sky Princess’ season ends on November 5.
To be fully-vaccinated, passengers must have received their second dose no fewer than 14 days prior to departure, the line explained.
Passengers will be required to show proof of their vaccination at the Port of Southampton.
MSC Cruises also strengthened its health and safety protocols on MSC Virtuosa this week, in response to rising Covid-19 case numbers across the UK.
MSC confirmed additional testing of both passengers and crew had been introduced to “manage the prevailing Covid-19 risks”.
