Riviera Travel has made 300 cabins available to solo travellers across seven European river cruise itineraries in April next year.
Solo travellers can now choose from 38 departures across a range of cabin grades on offer at no extra charge.
Katja Hildebrandt, head of cruise and worldwide product, said that dedicated solo departures early in the season had already sold out and agent feedback had prompted the operator to add more to the programme.
She said: “There has been a noticeable increase in guests looking to travel on a single basis since international travel started to open up.
“We’ve received clear feedback from the trade that more guests are hoping to travel as soon as possible, so we’ve added these cabins to the start of our 2022 season across a wide range of itineraries.”
Prices for the five-day Amsterdam, Kinderdijk and the Dutch Bulbfields sailing, featuring five visits and tours, leads in at £979 per person. There are nine departures of this itinerary with no single supplement.
The eight-day Douro, Porto and Salamanca itinerary also has cabins available across seven cruises for solo travellers. Prices start from £1,939 per person.
Other itineraries available are The Blue Danube; Burgundy, the River Rhone and Provence; Bruges, Medieval Flanders, Amsterdam and the Dutch Bulbfields; Seine, Paris and Normandy; and the Rhine and Moselle.
All but one of the itineraries included in the offer last eight days.
All cruises include return flights with regional airport options available; tours; and full board. An optional on-board drinks package is available from £59 per person.
