Royal Caribbean International is set to become the lead sponsor of a local rowing club in Weybridge after agreeing an 18-month funding deal.
The line will support the junior squad of 20 athletes at Weybridge Rowing Club, based at The Heights in Weybridge.
Funding will enable the squad to hire racing boats, indoor training space and equipment as they develop their skills and aim to compete at national level.
Ben Bouldin, the line’s vice president, EMEA, said following the team’s recent win in the British Championships it was clear the youngsters had “a bright future”.
“We’re excited to be able to support Weybridge Rowing Club moving into their 2022 season,” he added.
Lead coach of the junior rowing squad, Kostas Didaskalou, said: “Our partnership with Royal Caribbean enables us to pull together and win as a team, continuing to make the impossible possible.
“The funding from this agreement will help us deliver standout moments and experiences that will last a lifetime.”
