Royal Caribbean’s next ship Utopia of the Seas, which is due to launch this July, will feature a brand-new dining concept called The Royal Railway.
Speaking during a press conference on Icon of the Seas, brand president and chief executive Michael Bayley revealed the new attraction will be centred on a train trip and described it as “knock your socks off stuff”.

He said: “You’ll go to the train station and there will be loads of carriages there and these carriages will be restaurants.
“You will feel like you are having dinner in a train carriage and could be travelling through Europe, in a winter wonderland or in the dessert – and the menu will reflect the destination you’re in.
“Where you pick to go will depend on your maturity level. Some may want fine dining and wines, so they might travel through Europe, while others will want to travel to the Wild West and take part in a ‘shoot ‘em up’ movie.
“Or parents can just drop their kids off with us, we’ll feed them lots of pizza and sugary treats and they will have an amazing time while mum and dad go and have dinner somewhere else.”
Bayley said “other experiences will happen” as diners enjoy their meal, but remained tight lipped.
He added: “The Royal Railway will be absolutely fantastic. I think it’s actually one of the best concepts we’ve ever made.”
Utopia will be another new class of ship for the line.
