Royal Caribbean unveils Wonder of the Seas competition

Royal Caribbean International is giving away 566 cabins on incoming vessel Wonder of the Seas to agents as part of its “Get Me on Wonder” competition.

Agents can earn points by logging bookings through Royal’s trade platform Club Rewards, social media engagement and completing online training modules.

The agents who occupy the top 566 places on the leader board will win a cabin for two on the 6,988-passenger ship’s second sailing in early May. The prize includes return flights, transfers, food and drink.

Royal is also offering sales incentives including £49 flights to the Mediterranean on bookings made by January 31, 2022, and low-cost drinks packages to “kick of its key annual sales period”.

Deluxe Drinks packages have been reduced and made available for £40 per day on all 2022 sailings in Europe. The package currently starts from $63 (£47) per day on US sailings.

The sales campaign focuses on driving bookings made on the line’s eight European-based ships – including Wonder of the Seas – next summer.

Wonder of the Seas, which will offer sailings from Rome and Barcelona, has new features including the Suite Neighbourhood, which is exclusively for suite guests; a pool bar called The Vue and an open-air interactive kids play area, Wonder Playscape.

Sales director Stuart Byron said: “In spite of everything that’s come our way, we have still delivered unforgettable holidays around the world in 2021.

“Over a million guests have now sailed with us since the end of 2020. We kicked off our new global television marketing campaign, ‘Rise to the Vacation’, earlier this quarter to stimulate the market early.

“This, paired with the success of our European return to service this year, has given us the confidence to follow with bumper turn of year deals that include some of our best ever sales incentives.”
