The hull of Seabourn’s second expedition vessel has been moved to the Genoa shipyard where the ship is being built ahead of its final outfitting.
The journey to transport Seabourn Pursuit’s hull 1,200 nautical miles to the T.Mariotti shipyard began on April 6.
The 264-passenger vessel has already been fitted with engines and generators at the CIMAR shipyard in San Giorgio di Nogaro.
Scheduled to launch in 2023, Seabourn Pursuit is being designed for “diverse environments” and will include “modern hardware and technology”.
The ship will offer free expeditions such as Zodiac cruises, hikes, nature walks, scuba diving, and snorkelling and other additional curated excursions.
Seabourn president Josh Leibowitz said: “This is such an exciting milestone as this means we are one step closer to the completion of Seabourn Pursuit.
