Luxury cruise line Silversea Cruises has taken delivery of Silver Dawn at the Fincantieri shipyard in Ancona, Italy.
Executives from Silversea Cruises and Fincantieri attended a ceremony to welcome the 10th ship to the cruise line’s fleet.
Roberto Martinoli, Silversea’s president and chief executive, officially took delivery of Silver Dawn.
Richard Fain, chairman and chief executive of parent company Royal Caribbean Group, and Jason Liberty, executive vice-president and chief financial officer of Royal Caribbean Group, joined via video to deliver a speech.
Silver Dawn is the third ship to join Silversea’s fleet since the start of 2020 and will start sailing from spring 2022.
It is third ship in the Muse-class series and a sistership to Silver Muse and Silver Moon.
The ship can carry 596 passengers in 298 ocean-view suites, and will see the debut of a new wellness programme, Otium, inspired by the lifestyles of ancient Rome.
