Tui River Cruises has increased the range of activities for customers while on board its three vessels during the summer season.
A book club, stargazing, crafting and silent fitness classes have been added, with the aim of offering more relaxation and mindfulness options for passengers.
The Book Club offers the chance to read and discuss a bestseller with other guests and several copies of each title are available onboard for guests.
Current titles include Where the Crawdads Sing and The Keeper of Stories, both by author Sally Page.
Stargazing sessions are available, when conditions allow, with a host pointing out constellations for passengers who can use telescopes and binoculars.
More: ‘Strong demand’ prompts Tui River Cruises to add winter capacity
Following the popularity of winter crafts activities, the summer season sees the addition of options such as jewellery making, card making and seasonal wreath making.
Silent fitness classes will offer clients headphones for them to exercises while listening to the music, and there will also be guided meditation, featuring relaxation techniques, deep breathing exercises and mindfulness.
Katy Berzins, head of Tui River Cruises, said: “Wellness continues to be a global trend, so we’ve decided to incorporate more elements of relaxation and mindfulness into our onboard activity programme.
“These new activities will help to ensure customers have time to on the ship to enjoy their hobbies or take part in activities they’ve been looking to try after a day of sightseeing some of Europe’s iconic destinations.”
Tui River Cruises, part of Tui UK and Ireland and Tui Group, has three adult-only ships: Tui Isla, Tiu Skyla and Tui Maya (pictured).
