Virgin Voyages is expanding its UK sales team from four to eight as it builds support for travel agent partners.
Its first ship, Scarlet Lady (pictured), has been operating a ‘Summer Soiree’ series of sailings from Portsmouth this month.
Its second ship Valiant Lady will be based in the Mediterranean next year, and the third, Resilient Lady, will operate Greek island sailings next summer.
Shane Lewis-Riley, the cruise line’s UK and Australia associate vice-president tweeted: “We’re doubling the size of the @VirginVoyages U.K. Sales Crew. We’re now on the lookout for RockStar Business Development Executives (field based).”
The job advertisement said the executives will be on the road across the UK, and sometimes further afield, to support First Mates (travel agent partners).
“You’ll find and nurture new First Mate relationships and you’ll master our current database to identify immerging First Mate talent. You’ll be front and centre, making sure the Virgin Voyages brand is famous across the travel community in your territory,” said the advertisement.
They will also deliver training sessions and workshops, and keep agents engaged, up-to-date and benefiting from perks.
