The travel industry has shared its condolences, love and support for the family of Bebe King, one of the three girls killed in Southport on Monday.
Bebe (six) was fatally stabbed outside a Taylor Swift-themed dance class on Monday. Alice Dasilva Aguiar (nine) and Elsie Dot Stancombe (seven) were also killed.
A 17-year-old male has been arrested over the attack.
Messages from travel industry professionals have been shared on social media to highlight a GoFundMe appeal in aid of Bebe’s family, as her mother works in the travel industry.
Merseyside Police are supporting the bereaved families and have asked that their privacy is respected. The employer of Bebe’s mother said it is supporting the family and following the police lead to respect the privacy of the families and not disclose their identities.
Organised by Roni Bladon, the appeal has already passed £30,000.
It says: “We are all sure you have heard the devastating news of the passing of our beloved Bebe, a vibrant and joyful six-year-old girl who touched the lives of everyone around her. Her sudden departure has left a void that words cannot fill, and our hearts ache for her family during this incredibly difficult time.
“In the wake of this unimaginable loss, Bebe’s parents need time to grieve, to heal, and to begin the long journey of coping with their sorrow. The last thing they should be worried about right now is the pressure of returning to work and managing financial responsibilities.
“Your donations will provide them with the necessary time to mourn and heal without the added stress of financial burdens.”
It is signed with “heartfelt gratitude” from Helen, Karen, Sarah, Kirsty, Claire and Roni.
The statement from the police added a tribute from Bebe’s family which said: “No words can describe the devastation that has hit our family as [we] try to deal with the loss of our little girl Bebe.”
