Ambassador Cruise Line is looking to crown the UK’s best grandparent to coincide with National Grandparents Day on October 1.
Trade parents and customers can nominate their grandparent, or someone they know or work with who is a grandparent, to be bestowed with the title grandparent of the year.
Written, audio and video submissions will be accepted, and must explain why their family member, friend or travel agent colleague deserves to win.

All entries will be judged by a panel and the winner announced the week commencing October 2.
The person who comes in first place will receive a full-board, adult-only cruise for two, or a multigenerational cruise for four.
Nicola Harper, head of distribution, said: “We’re not only asking people to nominate a family member to be our first-ever grandparent of the year, we’re also reaching out to our agent partners to nominate a grandparent or a senior role model they work with for the title.
“Whether they want to thank their own grandparent for everything that they do for them, or if they work with a colleague who’s a grandparent and simply deserves the recognition, we’re looking forward to hearing from our agent partners as the search for Ambassador’s first-ever grandparent of the year continues.”
Chief executive Christian Verhounig said: “Grandparents are the anchors of the family and Ambassador Cruise Line wants to provide a platform for people to recognise how important they truly are.
“We have a lot of grandparents travelling with us and we’re proud to champion this amazing generation as we begin our search for the nation’s greatest grandma or grandad ahead of National Grandparents Day on October 1.”
