Atas unveils Lite membership to expand its reach

The Association of Touring and Adventure Suppliers has unveiled a new Lite membership level, aimed at smaller and niche operators.

The new Atas Lite option will also expand the reach and influence of the association among the trade and consumers.

Claire Brighton, Atas account director, said: “This Lite offering is a great way to build on the success we’ve seen with Atas since its launch in 2017.

“It will help smaller operators who may not have previously thought about membership – and means our voice as a trade association will be strengthened.

“We can lobby those in power about issues affecting our sector, knowing that we represent the full range of adventure and touring suppliers – and we can spread the word about their holidays to the trade and consumers.”

Currently, the association offers full membership for tour operators and associate membership for suppliers working with the sector, including destinations, airlines, service and ancillary providers.

Benefits for Lite members include access to the touringandadventure.com website – which will soon feature a dedicated Lite section – and the ability to use the Atas logo on websites, brochures and other marketing material.

Lite members will have access to training about destinations and general touring and adventure modules.

They can take part in virtual business workshops that could help develop their business, covering topics such as marketing, finance products and technological innovations.

Furthermore, as part of their membership, Lite operators can send two representatives to the annual Atas conference and have access to other Atas events such as webinars.

They will also receive news and updates from full Atas members and associate members.

Brighton added: “As well as benefits for Lite members, we expect this new, more tailored level of membership will bring advantages for full Atas and associate members too.

“I’m thrilled to be bringing more operators on board to strengthen the association and give our exciting sector a wider voice among the trade, consumers and legislators.

“We’re building an engaged, dynamic community which will ultimately raise the profile of touring and adventure among agents and consumers – and boost sales for our members.”
