APT described homeworking as a “pivotal and thriving” part of the industry.
The new role acknowledges the “vast potential” that homeworkers have to play in the future of the sector, and their importance in the ongoing evolution of the 95-year-old business.
Baumbach’s new role will include leading an extensive training programme and creating customer and engagement events to help enhance sales conversions for agents.
She will also provide support with marketing and sales campaigns.
APT & Travelmarvel head of sales and business development, Brad Bennetts, said:“As we all seek more flexibility in our working lives, homeworking has exploded post-pandemic.
“We recognise that homeworking agents are an integral part of our industry, and of our business, and we want to ensure that they are equipped with all the necessary support to thrive and capitalise on the outstanding opportunity that the APT & Travelmarvel products offer.
“We are making sure that homeworkers have access to the best resources for their sales success. Becky is the perfect person to drive this forward.”
The operator said its expansion into new destinations and launch of new ships will continue in 2023.
