Celebrity Cruises has created an e-learning programme dedicated to agents who are new to either selling cruise or the brand.
The cruise line developed the digital resource following the launch of its Celebrity Cruises for Beginners campaign in partnership with Travel Weekly, which aims to support new-to-cruise agents.
Titled the Beginners Programme, the modules were developed by training manager EMEA Leon Hand and are made up of three sections which will each take about 20 minutes to complete.

The programme has been added to Celebrity’s wider selling guide which contains facts, training videos, downloadable resources and virtual cruise ship tours designed to give agents the “knowledge and confidence to successfully sell a Celebrity cruise, as its content boasts a step-by-step guide to not only the brand, but the cruise industry as a whole”, the line said.
“We are relaunching our e-learning programme after significant work on the content to make it more user friendly, interactive and relevant to agents who are new to Celebrity of have never sold a Celebrity holiday before,” said Hand.
“We are pleased to now offer an exclusive beginners programme section which is specifically designed for new agents.
“This dedicated training for new agents is an ideal introduction to the basics of selling cruise as well as a great foundation to their product knowledge.”
Agents who enrol in the Celebrity Cruises for Beginners campaign will automatically be sent the guide. It can also be accessed on the homepage of the line’s agent portal, Celebrity Central.
Those agents who have signed up to the campaign can earn points over the next six months by watching webinars, attending ship visits, making bookings and completing training modules. There are prizes available for those with the most points when the programme ends in September.
