Celebrity Cruises to include plant-based restaurant on new ship

Celebrity Cruises will introduce a plant-based restaurant on its new ship, Celebrity Ascent.

Passengers on the vessel, which is due to launch in November, can dine at Eden which will serve a seven-course, plant-based tasting menu alongside an al a carte menu.

The ship will feature several restaurants and bars seen on other vessels in the fleet, including Daniel Boulud’s Le Voyage, Fine Cut Steakhouse, Le Petit Chef, The Grand Plaza and The Martini Bar.

Celebrity Cruises has partnered with WhistlePig Whiskey and will offer passengers two drinks made exclusively for the line, as well as a tasting flight.

Like other Edge-class vessels, Celebrity Ascent will also offer four main dining options.

President of the cruise line Laura Hodges Bethge said: “The memories we make with family and friends while sharing food and drink has long been one of the most memorable parts of travel and with Celebrity Ascent we sought every opportunity to make these experiences richer and even more enticing for our guests.”
