Charitable Travel has appointed Ally Ware as marketing manager of the social enterprise online travel agency.
Ware has held marketing roles at TravMedia and VIVID Travel, and will report to Charitable Travel founder and chief executive Melissa Tilling, who she worked with at Funway Holidays as marketing executive.
Ware will work alongside Ali Nicholls, head of partnerships, to deliver campaigns with Charitable Travel’s industry partners and charities – and be responsible for developing the brand’s growth strategy and driving the maximum amount of donations for charity partners.

Tilling said: “Charitable Travel has only known business life amid a pandemic, which slowed us up a little with our plans to deliver our social purpose in support of good causes.
“Ally joining us, with her wealth and diversity of marketing experience, really is a positive step for our social enterprise as we #BuildBackBetter and join the rest of the industry rebounding from the impact of Covid-19 but with our philanthropic message at the heart of everything we do”.
Ware added: “It’s such a privilege to be joining the team at Charitable Travel, right as we’re starting to see the green roots of travel re-emerging after an icy, Covid-19 winter.
“The ethos of what Melissa and the team have created in Charitable Travel is incredibly timely as we all balance our positive, hopeful outlook for the future with the hard reality that we have all experienced over the past year, leaving us grateful for both our freedom to travel and the charities and communities that have supported us through the past year.”
She said she expects a “resounding appetite” for the company’s #TravelforGood objectives from consumers and that “our unique charity donation model will appeal to those customers wanting to make a difference to the world around them”.
