Clia enhances trade website with new training features and sales tools

Clia has introduced new training features, sales tools and information resources to its website to support agents.

New resources include an online booking guidelines page containing details of how agents can work with cruise lines to become an authorised seller; a compilation of the latest fam trip, ship visit and networking opportunities from across Clia’s member cruise lines; an outline of the online training opportunities on offer from Clia’s ocean, river, luxury and expedition member cruise lines; and information on the association’s sustainability toolkit, featuring reports, statistics, maps and posters.

Agents can access webinar recordings covering new ships, itineraries and experiences available on Clia’s member cruise lines, as well as interviews with senior executives at last month’s RiverView Conference in Vienna.

Itinerary experience factsheets have been produced to boost destination knowledge of the Western Mediterranean, Eastern Caribbean and Northern Europe, and brand profiles and trade contacts have been included with trade sales contact information and social media channels of all Clia cruise lines and river cruise operators.

Clia has also added details of its 2023 Cruise Master Award which is presented annually at Travel Weekly’s Agent Achievement Awards, and is open to self-nominations for the first time.

Andy Harmer, managing director for Clia UK & Ireland, said: “Cruise trade enquiries and bookings are on the crest of a wave and we’re determined to help agents capitalise on that momentum.

“From sales advice and funding opportunities to the latest news and views on the sector, our enhanced website ensures a wealth of insight and know-how is at agents’ fingertips.”
