Colletts Travel has joined Clia UK as an agency member with the aim of building on record demand for cruise trips.
The north London-based agency, which said its clients’ interest in the sector had reached a peak this year, noted that Clia membership would allow for increased access to ship visits and training.
Abhishek Shankar, senior partner relations and marketing manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Global Travel Collection, Colletts Travel’s parent company, said: “For Colletts Travel, joining Clia is a major step in expanding knowledge and expertise in the cruise segment.”

Shankar added: “Our membership will be particularly beneficial for advisors looking to move into the cruise industry and learn about a different and exciting leisure segment.
“We are excited to provide them with the knowledge and tools they need to book cruises for their luxury clients with confidence.”
Clia UK and Ireland managing director Andy Harmer said: “We are delighted to welcome Colletts Travel as a new member of Clia.
“Their commitment to enhancing advisor expertise aligns perfectly with our mission to promote cruising and support travel advisors in delivering exceptional cruise experiences.
“We look forward to supporting Colletts Travel in their growth and success within the cruise industry.”
