Explore joins trade training consortium Bright

Small group tour operator Explore has joined travel trade training consortium Bright.

Bright offers roadshows for independent travel agents across the UK to help them learn about suppliers’ products.

Explore joins existing Bright operators, including Sunvil Holidays, First Class Holidays, Kirker Holidays, African Pride and Inside Japan, and brings the total number of supplier members to nine.

The news comes just ahead of Bright’s annual general meeting on October 28, when planning will begin for Bright’s events in 2022.

The first two roadshows which Explore will part of will be in November, with 50 agents confirmed at both events.

Explore’s head of global sales Ben Ittensohn said: “These are more positive times for our industry. Joining Bright will allow Explore to engage further with independent agents across the country along with other specialist travel members. Our team of passionate business development managers supporting UK agents can’t wait to get involved in the events.”

The adventure operator offers more than 400 trips worldwide. Ittensohn said the company’s focus on high quality training in a rapidly growing sector of the market made the company a perfect fit for the training consortium.

Bright chairman Hisham Mahmoud said: “We’re delighted to welcome Explore as our exclusive global small group tour operator to the organisation.

“Their excellent reputation for supporting trade throughout the crisis and into recovery meant a unanimous decision was reached amongst members.

“Their expansive trip offering and growing attractiveness of their type of travel will be very popular with agents attending our events.“
