Explore Worldwide treats agents with ‘random acts of kindness’

Explore Worldwide embraced ‘Random Acts of Kindness Day’ on Thursday (February 17) by giving treats to travel agents and planting trees to help tackle climate change.

The operator’s trade team asked for nominations on its travel agency Facebook page, which has almost 5,000 agent members, for “travel agent superstars who deserved a treat”.

Explore planted a tree with its carbon-offsetting partner, Ecologi, for every one of the 50 agents who were nominated. Six of the agents received floral bouquets from business development managers Nick Hindle and Philippa Baines.

Claire Moore, director of Peakes Travel, received flowers after being nominated by two of her team, and she passed on the kindness by buying cakes for her team.

Moore commented: “Thank you so much. You guys are always there keeping us sane.”

Caroline Bailey, Designer Travel, also received flowers and was prompted to donate to charity on behalf of her clients who booked an Explore trip with her.

“I am blown away with your kindness,” said Bailey.

Zoe Franklin, sales manager at Travel Club Elite, said: “Beautiful flowers. Thank you so much for your continued support.”
