Globus brands awarded accreditation for customer service in ‘industry first’

The Globus family of brands in the UK has been awarded the ServiceMark accreditation for customer service with distinction.

Cosmos Tours and Avalon Waterways claim that the accreditation from the Institute of Customer Service (ICS) is an “industry first”, saying they are the first travel businesses to have been awarded the accolade.

The accreditation was a result of a survey conducted by the ICS which questioned Cosmos Tours and Avalon Waterways’ customers and staff on their engagement and satisfaction with the brands.

Both the employee and customer surveys achieved more than 85%, the brand said, which meant Globus was marked with a distinction. Employees scored the highest in the areas of continuity, credibility and capability, the brand added.

“We are delighted to have been awarded this prestigious accolade by the ICS, which perfectly aligns with our company ethos for both our customers and our staff,” said Globus UK managing director Lesley Taylor (pictured).

“We are the first travel business to have been awarded the accreditation with distinction so we are thrilled.

“It just goes to show, if you execute phenomenal customer service and develop strong relationships with your travel partners, it takes you to a great place where you’re able to achieve great things.”

She added: “This stand out award sets us apart in the travel industry and is testament to the hard work and dedication to our customers and colleagues across the Globus family of brands.”
