Halsbury Travel Group has appointed former Gold Medal managing director Robin Parry as chief executive officer.
Parry has worked in the travel industry for more than 30 years,with two decades as a board member for several market leading organisations, ranging from start-ups to large multinationals, including Emirates Holidays.
He joined the school tour operator last week from Discover the World, another provider of educational trips, where he steered the company through the pandemic and set it up for future growth as managing director.
Parry’s appointment as chief executive officer comes as Halsbury Travel Group begins a new chapter.
The company was acquired by Literacy Capital in June this year, an investment firm with the objecgtive of advancing the education of children in the UK by promoting and supporting the development of literacy.
Speaking about his appointment, Parry said: “I am delighted to join Halsbury Travel Group at the start of the next exciting chapter.
“I am looking forward to working with the exceptional teams, at both Halsbury and Literacy Capital to further grow the business and support more teachers in providing unforgettable educational experiences for their students.”
