If Only has appointed Jet2holidays’ Charlotte Brailsford as head of sales south.
Brailsford, who also worked for Princess Cruises in a 16-year travel career including eight as an agent, replaces Dominic Carrick, who left If Only after 12 years earlier this month to join easyJet holidays.
Luxury operator If Only said the appointment is “crucial to help further build on the successes and support that Dominic has delivered in the South of England and continue enhance our trade partnerships”.
Sales director Tracy Docherty said: “We are absolutely delighted that Charlotte is joining us and we know she will be a great addition to the team.
“Charlotte brings lots of experience in various sectors of the market and brings numerous already-established partnerships with agents across the south so will be able to transition into the role with ease.
“This appointment will further enhance our trade sales team and will help in increasing the support that we offer to our growing portfolio of regional and national agent partners old and new.”
Docherty said Brailsford’s appointment will help If Only “capitalise on the tremendous opportunity for retailers and homeworkers to grow their luxury long haul sales” and “take advantage of unprecedented levels of pent-up consumer demand for luxury holidays in 2021-22 and beyond”.
She added: “Charlotte will be a true asset to the If only family and part of our new team who will help provide the platform for us to own the long-haul luxury space with agents and watch this space for more exciting announcements from the team at If Only over the next few weeks. We can’t wait to get her started and be out on the road to meet you all.”
Brailsford said: “I’m delighted to be joining If Only. I can’t wait to meet new and existing If Only-supporting agents promoting their fantastic luxury brand. It’s a dream role within a well-established trade-only brand and I want to thank Tracy and Gordon [McCreadie, If Only general manager] for the opportunity.”
