Upmarket operator If Only will launch its annual peaks campaign in March, after postponing the initiative because of travel uncertainty in January and February.
Called Wish You Were Here, the marketing push offers agents the chance to win one of 11 luxury stays, with £1,000 of flight credit up for grabs for the top booker throughout the campaign period.
The trade-only operator is working with 16 hotel partners and will provide marketing materials and content to help travel agents “inspire their customers”.
The hotels featured are in destinations such as the Maldives, Seychelles, Dubai and Mexico.
Annika Rieley, If Only marketing manager, said more consumers are making enquiries following the announcement of the government’s roadmap out of lockdown.
“We are getting constant requests from our agent partners for engaging offers, video content and inspirational blog pieces to help capture that market interest and this is exactly what the campaign will offer,” she said.
“By hosting imagery, video content and factsheets on our campaign hub, we’re ensuring that agents have everything they need at their fingertips to promote our campaign partners.
“Given all we have experienced in the past year, I know that the human touch has become all the more valuable, so don’t miss this opportunity to remind your customers why it’s always better to book with you, their local travel agent.”
To enter the competition, agents have to make a booking for a participating hotel from March 1 to May 31.
