Industry stalwart Len Mina returns to Olympic Holidays next week – the company where he began his purchasing career in 1992.
Taking on the role of head of purchasing, Mina will be responsible for Olympic Holidays’ contracting team and helping to expand the operator’s range.
He has more than 35 years of experience in travel and, after Olympic Holidays, he held senior positions including head of contracting and purchasing roles at Jet2Holidays, Thomas Cook and MyTravel.
Mina will be replacing Ricky Wason who departs at the end of the month.
Michael Vinales, Olympic Holidays’ managing director, said: “Len is going to be a hugely valuable asset to the company.
“He brings with him a wealth of experience along with long-standing, established relationships with a large number of Olympic Holidays’ hoteliers.
“His versatility and extensive experience in building and managing supplier relationships is going to be key for us as we continue to strategise and grow key areas of the business.”
Mina commented: “I am thrilled to be heading back to Olympic Holidays, the UK’s leading tour operator to Greece and Cyprus and a company I worked for, for many years at the start of my career.
“It is a brand I have continued to admire and to have the chance to re-join them and support business to not only their core destinations but expanding portfolio to other Mediterranean destinations is a truly exciting opportunity.
“Olympic Holidays are the island connoisseurs and their expertise and knowledge within their specialist area is second to none.
“I am looking forward to strengthening the brand further as we look ahead to 2023 and beyond.”
