JG Travel Group creates two roles amid product team restructure

The JG Travel Group has restructured its product team, separating its portfolio into two areas – Escorted & Coach Touring and Specialist Products.

It has also created two new heads of product roles, reporting to Joanna Roberts, who was recently promoted to product director.

The Escorted and Coach Touring team will cover the group’s programmes in the UK, Ireland and Europe including its traditional coach breaks, Heritage & Culture escorted tours and no-fly river cruising range.

The Specialist Product team will be responsible for the group’s events break programme across the UK and Europe including London theatre and attractions breaks, Northern Lights and solar eclipse holidays.

The group said the new structure will support “diversification and growth” for its brands: Just Go! Holidays, National Holidays and Omega Breaks.

Chris Allen has been promoted from his role as product manager be head of specialist position.

He joined the JG Travel Group in 2020 from Specialist Leisure Group, where he headed the sportingbreaks.com brand.

Roberts said: “We wanted to ensure that we created a structure that would allow us to innovate our product lines and build on our strong foundations to develop our future capabilities.

“I’m delighted to welcome Chris Yianni to the team and to be working more closely with Chris Allen as both take up their newly created head of product roles.

“They will be responsible for creating new product ranges and enhancing our existing portfolio to drive growth through new customer acquisition and service excellence to our customers.”
