Latin Routes and Polar Routes recruit four travel specialists

Latin Routes and sister company Polar Routes have taken on travel specialists ahead of the peaks selling season.

The operators report that enquiries for January so far have increased by more than 70% year on year.

Paul Mason (right) joined Latin Routes in November as a senior Latin travel specialist, bringing with him 10 years of experience.

He has travelled extensively throughout South America and has a particular love for Peru and Costa Rica.

Latin Routes also hired Lydia Groom (second left) and Sarah Slocomb (left) as travel specialists.

Groom worked for Latin Routes back in 2017 and has now returned to the travel industry. She loves Ecuador and the Galapagos, as well as the beaches of Brazil.

Slocomb has worked in adventure travel for 12 years, and loves the Sacred Valley in Peru, and plans to travel to Costa Rica.

Meanwhile, Polar Routes hired senior polar specialist Kasey Green (second right), bringing the team of polar specialists up to four.

Having previously worked for Hurtigruten, Green knows about expedition cruising and has a passion for the polar regions.

Gaynor, Atherton, business development manager, said: “We’re really pleased that we have been able to bring in a good calibre of travel specialists, with strong sales expertise ahead the busiest time for the industry.

“It puts us in the best possible position to deal with the increase in demand as efficiently as possible.”
