New accommodation goes on sale at two Sandals resorts

Sandals Resorts International has put new accommodation on sale in Jamaica and St Lucia for travel from spring next year.

The rooms and suites in Beaches Negril in Jamaica and Sandals Halcyon Beach Resort in St Lucia can now be booked for stays from April 6, 2023, and are described by the Caribbean resort specialist as going “beyond traditional luxury”.

The family Beaches Negril resort in Jamaica has 12 new butler suites, bringing the total room count up to 197.

These include six Firesky Reserve Villas on the beach at the northern end of the resort, all inspired by the destination’s sunsets, with four bedrooms across three floors.

The villas accommodate up to 10 guests, such as larger or multigenerational families. and boast well-appointed living areas, kitchens, private ocean-front plunge pools and rooftop decks with dining terraces with sea views.

The other six new suites, the Eventide Penthouse Collection, are at the opposite end of the resort’s coastline. These have three to four bedrooms each, accommodating up to 18 guests in each suite, and include large balconies and terraces, and a rooftop terrace.

A new building will also house the resort’s kids club, Camp Sesame, to open ahead of next summer.

Sandals Halcyon Beach Resort in St Lucia is opening 25 new butler suites, including 20 Joli Beachfront Suites on the edge of the shore and five Koko Rondaval Villas (pictured).

The expansion brings the total number of rooms and suites at the resort to 194.

The new beachfront suites offer rooms with access straight on to the beach and private pools while second floor accomodation has balconies featuring tranquillity soaking tubs. The suites feature an open-air layout with natural wood interiors, king-size beds and sea views.

The Koko Rondoval Villas are a first for the resort, based on ‘forward-thinking designs’ featuring rounded walls, thatched roofs and windows spanning nearly an entire wall, which aim to  ‘bring the outside in’. They have private patios and plunge pools.

Adam Stewart, executive chairman, said; “Our guest experience drives everything we do, and these new suites are emblematic of our unrelenting move across the brands as we challenge ourselves to reimagine every facet of the business.

“We wanted to go beyond traditional luxury and these new suites are stunners; it’s about design and amenities that make connecting with each other more comfortable and more fulfilling.”
