Newmarket Holidays launches Sardinia and Andalucia tours

Newmarket Holidays has launched two escorted tours of Sardinia and Andalucia to help agents capitalise on “strong” short-haul sales for 2023.

Michael Fleetwood, Newmarket Holidays’ head of product for Europe, UK and Ireland, said: “Our European range has started the year well, and these two new tours will help further boost sales for agents.

“The short-haul market has been booking later post-pandemic, so there is a good opportunity for agents to secure reservations for the May departures for Classic Sardinia over the next few weeks.

“Andalucia has been popular with our customers for a number of years and our Little Boats tour incorporates a new angle of this region and opens up additional destinations like Marbella and Puerto Buenos.”

The eight-day Classic Sardinia (pictured) tour starts with a visit to the fortress town of Bonifacio on nearby Corsica, before returning to Sardinia for guided tours of famous landmarks including the fortified town of Castelsardo and the historic medieval centre of Alghero.

It starts from £1,107, including B&B accommodation, guided excursions and return flights, with departures from May to October.

Explore Andalucía by Little Boats offers an alternative view of Spain from the rivers of the country’s most southerly region.

There are waterway tours along the Guadalquivir River, into Doñana National Park, and by catamaran to Rota, to see its castle and historic sights.

Clients can watch the famous ‘dancing stallions’ perform at the Royal Andalusian Equestrian School, and visit the ancient port city of Cádiz, plus Seville, Marbella and Jerez de la Frontera.

The eight-day adventure costs from £1,040, including seven nights’ B&B accommodation, excursions and flights, with departures available from September.
