Newmarket Holidays has reported an 80% increase in long-haul agent sales for the year to date, compared to the same period in 2019.
The escorted tour specialist has praised the support of travel agents who have “shown their ability to give confidence to travellers, despite the uncertainties of the past two years.”
The operator said the “standout tours” this year include a South African safari, a wildlife and culture trip through Kenya’s Tsavo East and West, and a tour of Peru, Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands.
Head of trade sales Richard Forde said: “We are delighted with the year so far and agents have played a big part in bringing confidence back to our customers, especially when it comes to big-ticket long-haul adventures.
Newmarket’s ‘Dream it. See it. Share it.’marketing and discount campaign runs to the end of July.
“Our ‘Dream it. See it. Share it.’ campaign, which gives up to 15% off holidays booked before July 31, has been a successful sales tool for our agent partners, and we’re really excited to see them continue to benefit from it over the summer,” added Forde.
