Not In The Guidebooks has signed up Travel Counsellors as its latest trade partner as it launches a bookable ‘dashboard’ for agents.
The excursions operator already has partnerships in place with a number of UK agents and tour operators including Hays Travel, Your Co-op Travel, InteleTravel UK and British Airways Holidays.
It will now be working with Travel Counsellors’ network of 1,900 agents, who will be given access to Not In The Guidebooks’ 1,000-plus local independent immersive experiences worldwide, all of which are individually vetted.
The company aims to offer authentic and responsible tourism excursions by taking customers off the beaten track to visit lesser known places and experience local culture. It has worked with charity The Travel Foundation to ensure its experiences create a positive impact.
Not In The Guidebooks chief executive Carol Savage said the partnership would help Travel Counsellors access responsible and sustainable experiences for their clients.
She said: “Many of Travel Counsellors’ customers are seeking holidays that are sustainable and support local communities. It can be difficult for agents to find and access these small, locally run tourism businesses on the ground.”
The new partnership comes as Not In The Guidebooks launches its agent dashboard, which gives all agents it works with access to hundreds of local travel experiences with live booking availability and access to content, including images and videos they can download for marketing purposes.
