Not Just Travel designs ‘groundbreaking’ cruise website for agents

Not Just Travel has unveiled a dedicated cruise website designed to save its consultants time when searching for itineraries.

The homeworking agency said notjustcruise.co.uk collates information from more than 40,000 itineraries, and described the site as a “groundbreaking” tool.

Agents can filter cruises by holiday type, cruise line, departure point, destination and price range, as well as view information on deck plans and cabins. The website also displays deals and last-minute offers.

Consumers can also use the site to search for a cruise, with an ‘Enquire now’ button directing them to submit their details to Not Just Travel.

The creation of the website follows the launch of the company’s cruise division last September, which had seen cruise sales double, NJT said.

Steve Witt, NJT co-founder, said cruise sales now made up 25% of the company’s business, with booking volumes on track to be quadruple the figure of 2022.

“Our cruise bookings have gone through the roof since we launched our cruise division in September and this website will drive up sales even further,” he said.

“There weren’t any options for consultants to book cruise easily without having to trawl through several suppliers’ websites, so we invested in creating our own.

“Our consultants now have the information at their fingertips, saving them many hours and becoming expert heroes to our customers.”

Witt added the aim of the website was to make “booking through a consultant as simple as possible”.

“It’s a tool both for consultants to use their time as efficiently as possible as well as an innovative way of attracting new customers,” he said.

Senior cruise business development manager Duncan Croucher added: “This site is a game changer for our consultants.

“It will cut down on hundreds of hours of research and crossreferencing to allow consultants to be as efficient as possible in doing what they do best – selling.”

News of the website was shared with more than 150 agents during a seminar on board Virgin Voyages’ Valiant Lady, which saw more than half the consultants take their first ever cruise.

During the seven-day Mediterranean sailing, agents received training on topics such as cruise sales, personal development and social media.

The group was accompanied by brand ambassador, decathlete and Olympic gold medallist Daley Thompson, and influencer Hayley Sparks.

Witt said: “Our business is all about relationships with our consultants, trade partners and customers.

“Our seminar at sea is our ultimate investment in people; we pay for our consultants to open their eyes to the endless possibilities within the cruise market.

“There is simply no better way to learn than to experience it yourself alongside inspirational peers, colleagues and friends.”

Jack Atherton, sales manager at Virgin Voyages, added: “Our partnership with NJT has been highly successful over the past few months, however this trip will fast track sales to a whole new level.”
