Pacific Asia Travel Association (Pata) UK & Ireland will showcase the South Pacific, Sri Lanka and Australia in its upcoming virtual training events for travel agents.
The association’s destination roadshows will return later this month, with the South Pacific Roadshow, taking place from 9am-11am on November 25.
It will be followed by a new roadshow turning the spotlight on Sri Lanka, from 9am-11am on December 7.
Matt McCausland, Pata account director, said: “Working in partnership with Travel Uni, we’re really excited to introduce Sri Lanka for the first time as a brand new destination for our training roadshows.”
The training roadshows feature small-group speed-networking sessions with suppliers and are designed for agents seeking new products or updates from key suppliers.
South Pacific roadshow suppliers include Tahiti Tourisme; Cook Islands; Tourism Fiji; Rosie Holidays; Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort and Castaway Island, Fiji; Aaranui Cruises; Hilton Hotel Tahiti; Hilton Moorea Lagoon; Conrad Bora Bora Nui; Tahiti Nui Travel; and Air Tahiti Nui.
Sri Lanka roadshow suppliers include Teardrop Hotels; Amari Sri Lanka; Classic Sri Lanka; Santani; Sri Lanka Collection; Water Garden – Sigiraya; Aarunya Nature Resort & Spa; and Uga.
Also on December, a new format will be unveiled with the ‘Aussie Takeover’, from 3-4pm.
Tourism Australia, Queensland, Western Australia and New South Wales will be providing updates on all their plans for reopening.
They will then test travel agents’ knowledge with prizes up for grabs including stocking fillers with Australian gin miniatures, hand creams and chocolates – and the top prize of an Aussie hamper.
All virtual training events are free for agents to attend.
