The Pacific Asia Travel Association UK & Ireland in partnership with Travel Uni has announced more training events and a new destination-based virtual roadshow for the trade this winter.
The association’s online quizzes and destination roadshows will return, with the first an Indochina Roadshow sponsored by Thien Minh Group in London on October 20 from 6pm until 10pm.
It will include speed dating and agents and will have timed meetings with the Pata suppliers: Thien Minh Group (TMG); Alma Resort Cam Ranh; EXO Travel; Vietnam Tourism Board; Vinpearl Resorts; Akorn Destination Management ; Visit Quang Nam; and Hidden Doorways.
Pata account director Matt McCausland said: “We’re delighted to invite agents to join our upcoming winter training programme.
“The Indochina Roadshow marks the first in the line up and also the return of our roadshows being in person. The last time the Indochina roadshow was organised was before the pandemic in 2019.”
He added: “This event is dedicated exclusively to the Indochina region and will give agents the chance to meet and network with hotels, tourist boards, DMCs, and rep companies from within the region, whilst enjoying food and drinks throughout the evening.”
The Indian Ocean Virtual Roadshow, the first training roadshow dedicated to the Indian Ocean, takes place on November 30.
Other events coming up include a Thailand Online Quiz on October 19; a Vietnam Online Quiz on November 15; and an Australia Online Quiz on December 1.
