The Inspire Group plans to double staff numbers to 80 in a year and rebrand its homeworking business as Inspire Travel Associates.
The Cheshire-based company runs two homeworking models – traditional homeworking and a hybrid option, where sales leads are provided.
The recruitment drive involves a combination of public relations activity, social media and open days.
The expansion from a combined team of 40 follows record breaking sales in the three months to the end of September, according to the group.
An in-house sales team of ten is being added to support the homeworking hybrid model, with its first five starters joining later this month.
Inspire Group managing director Lisa Henning revealed that the company is changing the title of its homeworkers to Inspire Travel Associates following feedback.
She said: “On the back of the pandemic, with more and more of us working from home, you could say that we have all become homeworkers, and we felt that the title was no longer appropriate.
“After consulting with the existing team, we chose the new name, Inspire Travel Associates, as we feel it perfectly reflects their position as independent business owners, yet also speaks of their relationship and partnership with Inspire.
“We are delighted also to rebrand this side of our business at this time, as it marks a new and innovative chapter for us all.
“We are seeing considerable growth across all areas of our business, but especially across our team of Inspire travel associates, and we feel that this part of the industry will see significant growth moving forward.
“Over the last few months we have been building on the strong foundations of our homeworking business, and we are now ready to reach out to the industry and invite others to join us.
“It’s all about offering the right package of benefits together with first-class support services. We believe in providing our homeworkers with an infrastructure that allows them to flourish as business owners, whilst working in an environment where they feel valued and cared for.”
Lorna Hardy was appointed sales and recruitment manager earlier in the year to support homeworkers in growing and developing their businesses, as well as helping recruit new joiners to the company.
She worked as a business development manager at Independent Travel Experts for seven years before joining The Inspire Group.
Henning, who previously led Independent Travel Experts, added: “Lorna has extensive experience in travel retailing and a solid track record of working with like-minded travel business owners.
“She also has strong relationships with many of our trade partners and is a specialist in Disney and long-haul travel. Having worked closely with Lorna in the past, I know she will play a key role in helping us achieve our growth aspirations in this area.”
