Riviera Travel adds three 10-night river cruises to 2024 schedule

Riviera Travel has added three 10-night river cruises to its 2024 schedule.

The additional itineraries are “enhancements” of three of the operator’s most popular seven-night sailings, Riviera said.

All three include return flights with regional airport options, Eurostar travel in select itineraries, full board and all schedules visits and tours.

Guests on the Moselle, Luxembourg & the Majestic Rhine itinerary will take guided tours of Koblenz, Luxembourg, Trier, Cochem, Rüdesheim, Worms, either Heidelberg or Schwetzingen Palace Gardens, Marksburg Castle and Cologne.

The tour also includes a wine tasting course in Bernkastel. Prices start from £2,899.

The Paris, Normandy & the Historic Treasures of the Seine itinerary includes tours of Paris, Auvers-sur-Oise, Rouen, the D-Day Normandy Beaches, Honfleur or Étretat, Abbey Jumieges & Abbey St Wandrille and the Chateau de Malmaison.

Guests will also visit Claude Monet’s house and garden and can take an optional tour of the Palace of Versailles.

The lead-in price for the itinerary is £2,699.

Also new for 2024 is the 10-night Cologne, Rhine Gorge & Medieval Germany river cruise.

Guests will take guided tours of Cologne, Andernach, Rüdesheim, Mainz, Miltenburg, Wertheim, Wurzburg, Ochsenfurt, Bamberg and Nuremberg.

The tour also includes a drive along the Romantic Road to visit Rothenburg and a night of Bavarian music on board. Prices start from £2,999.

Speaking at an event in London, chief commercial operator Robin Shaw said: “Some of our customers have told us that seven-night cruises aren’t long enough while 14-night trips are too long, so we have created these new 10-night itineraries to meet their demand.

“These new tours give guests the opportunity to go further and deeper into the destinations.”

Katja Hildebrandt, Riviera’s head of product river and ocean cruise, said: “It’s very exciting to be introducing these new 10-night river cruise sailings.

“The additional time they offer on board will allow guests to experience and explore an incredible range of eye-catching destinations, such as Versailles, the Rhine Gorge and Schwetzingen Palace Gardens.

“Europe has so much on offer and these longer cruises are perfectly tailored to see the highlights and hidden gems of each itinerary.”
