Shearings adds Ireland capacity after travel restrictions ease

Escorted coach tours specialist Shearings has increased capacity on its Irish holiday programme to meet new demand for Ireland breaks.

The operator has added hundreds of extra places for autumn and into 2022 following the announcement last month that fully vaccinated UK passengers can travel to Ireland with no testing or quarantine, from July 19.

It also has some late availability for August departures.

Shearings has produced point-of-sale material for travel agents, which is available on request.

Ashley Dellow, Leger Shearings Group’s head of retail sales, said: “Travel agents would do well to suggest Ireland as a destination to any clients longing to go overseas but still a bit post-Covid nervous and reluctant to travel far or fly.

“Shearings’ escorted coach holidays make it so easy too – board the coach at a point near home, or even arrange our door-to-door ‘Home Connect’ service, then sit back and relax until you get to Ireland, with a chance to stretch the legs on the ferry.”
