Travel Counsellors has reported it made nearly £60 million worth of UK sales in July.
The homeworking agency said £40.3 million of its UK July sales related to leisure bookings, up 43% compared to 2019, and £15.6m related to corporate bookings, up 27% compared to 2019.
The number of leisure customers who travelled in July rose from 30,000 in 2019 to 39,000 this year.

The homeworking agency reported a recent customer survey showed consumer confidence is still high and the desire to travel “remains strong for this summer and next”, as 60% said the rising cost of living has “no or minimal impact” on their international holiday plans for 2022 and 2023.
The independent travel company’s recent sales figures showed the most popular destinations for the remainder of summer 2022 are Spain, the US and Greece; while the US, Barbados, Australia and the Maldives report strong sales for the winter season.
Customer director Dave Callan said: “July follows the growing sales we’ve experienced over the last few months.
“We are delighted with the strong figures and customer confidence moving forward.”
