US-based marketing consultancy Miles Partnership has invested in UK travel media and communications agency Black Diamond.
Miles Partnership is based in Sarasota, Florida and has regional offices across the US and in New Zealand.
Black Diamond is based in London and has 40 employees and 37 current clients worldwide.
The two companies have previously collaborated and said the investment would “enhance both organisations’ capabilities to serve a greater span of client needs” in addition to accelerating Miles Partnership’s growth plans in Europe and the Middle East.
The value of the investment has not been revealed.
Black Diamond will continue to operate independently under managing director Jim Odoire and head of creative and strategy Jonah Whitaker. Founder Guy Chambers will move into a strategic consulting role.
Odoire said: “I am excited to formalise and expand our partnership. Our teams have a shared focus on innovation and anticipating what’s next for our industry and clients.
“We see this as an opportunity to co-develop transformative products and services that help tourism organisations globally face the challenges ahead.”
David Burgess, president & chief executive of Miles Partnership, added: “Our combined global organisation will be a leading force in tourism marketing, public relations and representation services.
“Together we will play a critical role in the evolution of how consumers are inspired to travel and how destinations ensure they deliver quality experiences.”
