Tui’s Cardiff branch reports bookings boom after relocation

Agents in Tui’s Cardiff branch are celebrating after taking bookings for more than 150 customers in the shop’s first week after reopening in a new location.

The Queen Street store, which has 12 staff, has been giving clients a warm welcome since throwing open its doors on Friday, February 23.

Senior retail manager Gemma Morgan said feedback has been “fantastic”, adding: “Customers have said they feel like they are on holiday the moment they walk in, and we’ve loved being able to welcome familiar faces back into the store as well as meeting many new ones.”

Benidorm has been among the most popular destinations, Morgan said, while Mexico, Thailand and the Maldives have been performing increasingly well. Cruises have also been “really popular”.

Morgan added: “We are a team of 12 and are all well-travelled so know how to inspire and tailor-make customers’ holidays.

“The team has particular expertise across cruise, Europe, the Caribbean, the USA and Asia, so we are ready to help our customers explore the world and create lasting memories with their loved ones.”

The store, which trades every day of the week, was opened by two of Tui’s most loyal customers, Gillian Locke and Peter Haye, who have been booking for more than 25 years.
