Lancashire-based company Uni-Travel Ltd, whose brands offered holidays to long-haul destinations such as Canada, the US and South Africa, has ceased trading.
The Civil Aviation Authority said Uni-Travel Ltd ceased trading as an Atol holder on December 15.
“The company based in Lancashire traded under the names Farm Tours, Ranch Rider, The Independent Traveller and Uni-Travel; and traded through the websites www.itiscanada.co.uk, www.itissouthafrica.co.uk, www.ranchrider.com, www.unitravel.co.uk,” said the CAA statement.
“We are currently collating information from the company and will update this page as soon as possible.”
Messages on the www.itiscanada.co.uk, www.itissouthafrica.co.uk and www.ranchrider.com websites read: “Uni-Travel Limited trading as The Independent Traveller and Ranch Rider has ceased trading with immediate effect. The directors and staff would like to thank you for your support over the last 40 years.”
The message advises customers to contact an insolvency and business recovery company called Campbell, Crossley & Davis for more information.
