Wendy Wu Tours has launched a new collection of 14-night river cruise and beach holidays along the Mekong River for next year.
A seven-night river cruise is offered on board the operator’s Victoria Mekong ship while itineraries also feature an optional extension of four nights bed and breakfast at the Anja Beach Resort & Spa on the island of Phu Quoc in the gulf of Thailand.
The new collection comes as the operator reports an increase of more than 70% in booking enquiries for river cruises in southeast Asia in 2024 compared with this year.

The cruises start at Kampong Cham in Cambodia, known for its French colonial buildings, and visit Angkor Ban, famous for its original, wooden houses, and Koh Dach, known as Silk Island, with time spent with local families to learn about the art of silk weaving.
Other stops include Cambodia’s capital city Phnom Penh, where clients can take a pedal powered cyclo ride to the Raffles Hotel Le Royal for afternoon tea, and a day visiting the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda complex. The cruise finishes with an evening of traditional Cambodian Khmer Apsara dancing.
All bookings made by October 31 include £400 worth of shore excursions, and offer the four-night beach and spa holiday for free, a saving of up to £500.
The tour operator’s 33 cabin river cruise ship boasts a contemporary, Asian-inspired design and includes an infinity pool and ‘horizon’ lounge bar. Cabin types include deluxe staterooms and VIP suites, all with floor to ceiling panoramic French windows and private balconies.
The ship has been designed to be one of most environmentally-friendly ships on the Mekong. It is equipped with a freshwater generator to process river water into fresh drinking water and solar energy powers the ship’s operating system enabling a top speed of 11 knots and emission savings. It claims to save half the energy of other river cruise ships.
Head of trade sales Gary King said: “Our new Cruise & Beach collection is very exciting and gives agents a new and fresh perspective on Mekong River cruising, which encapsulates the sumptuous Victoria Mekong, together with many immersive and authentic shore excursions, all included in the total cost, plus of course the four-night beach and spa holiday on the island of Phu Quoc.”
Holidays start from £2,499 for 14 nights, including the Mekong River cruise and beach stay.
