All-inclusive ‘leading option’ over self-catering amid cost of living squeeze

All-inclusive is the leading option for accommodation, overtaking self-catering, according to research by Club Med.

The model allows customers to feel safe in the knowledge that all aspects of their holiday are covered with no unexpected additional costs.

The findings came as the operator released a winter 2023-24 flash sale with discounts of up to 20% for bookings made between January 24-26.

Value for money is the single most important factor for customers in light of the current cost of living pressures, the research revealed.

Figures from within the business have revealed that the most popular months for booking at the moment is January with its Arc Panorama and new resorts in Tignes and Val d’Isere proving to be the most popular with families.

Discounts are available on all departure dates between November 4, 2023  and May 2, 2024 for snow resorts and June 27, 2024 for sun resorts.

Children under 4 years old stay for free across snow resorts and 5-11 year olds will receive 20% off.

Youngsters under 6 stay for free at sun resorts, with 50% off for 6-11 year olds and 20% off for 12-17 year olds.

Club Med UK and Nordics managing director Nicolas Bresch said: “We’re confident that this winter sales opening is going to be our biggest one yet.

“Recent feedback from both our travel agent partners and our clients is that people want to lock in the price of an all inclusive holiday ahead of time.

“With prices and currencies fluctuating, and increasing air fares, our promise to our customers guarantee that the price of their stay will not change after their booking.

“As always, we remain dedicated to providing a premium stay and encourage customers to take full advantage of the sales, guaranteeing 20% off deluxe rooms, suites, villas, and chalets for this three-day period and we look forward to welcoming them to our resorts.”
