APT and Travelmarvel join Bright for agent training

A new range of in-person training events for independent agents across the UK have been confirmed by APT and Travelmarvel.

The river cruise and touring operator has joined training specialist Bright to deliver the sessions alongside other travel brands.

The second of four evening events takes place today (Wednesday) at Hintlesham Hall, Ipswich.

Others are to be held on October 11 at Barnett Hill Hotel, Guildford and October 12 at Salomons Estate, Tunbridge Wells.

Each event begins with welcome drinks and is followed by a 10-minute presentation from each partner and networking over a delicious three-course dinner.

APT and Travelmarvel head of sales and development Brad Bennetts said: “We are thrilled to have joined Bright, as we firmly believe that face-to-face training is one of the most powerful tools and adds significant value for agents.

“We want to equip agents with all the tools that they need to promote river cruising to their existing databases and to grow their businesses by attracting ‘new to cruise’ customers.”

He added that “this is a perfect opportunity for agents to upskill ahead of what we predict will be a fantastic peaks period”.

Kirker Holidays’ Hisham Mahmoud, who is chair of Bright, added: “We are extremely happy to welcome APT to the Bright family.

“We are always looking for a unique specialist product and brands that are keen to build long lasting relationship with some of the best independent travel agents all over the UK.

“We welcome Brad Bennetts and his team to the Bright family and look forward to helping APT to engage face to face with independent agents who are looking to expand their specialist tour operator offering.”
