Asia and Africa targeted for expansion of Tui Blue hotels

New holiday destinations in Asia and Africa are being targeted by Tui Group’s global hotel brand Tui Blue after five openings this summer.

A total of 22 hotels across 13 countries are planned, including the first properties in Bali and The Gambia and expansion in Vietnam.

Seven openings are currently planned for the coming year in China, Cambodia, Vietnam and The Gambia.

A further 15 are earmarked for future openings, including Cambodia, China, Curacao, Maldives, Senegal, Thailand and The Philippines.

The Blue app was also redesigned this summer as a digital service assistant, offering current and future guests inspiration as well as options to design holidays according to their wishes, according to the operator.

Tui hotels and resorts managing director Erik Friemuth said: “Our hotel business is performing strongly and we are driving projects across different brands of the Group at a high pace.

“With the growth of Tui Blue, we are also expanding our targeted customer base in Asia and Africa. For example, our hotels in China will primarily welcome local holidaymakers.”

The brand’s managing director Artur Gerber added: “Tui Blue stands for individual holiday experiences with a local touch, a trend that is well received worldwide.

“Our future partners want to make their hotels accessible to an international target group, but at the same time convey the uniqueness and culture of the respective country. Tui Blue provides the best prerequisites for this.”
