Carnival Cruise Line confirms 2024 Dover departures

Carnival Cruise Line is to offer cruises from three ports in Europe including Dover in summer 2024.

The 2,200-passenger Carnival Legend is to be deployed from the Kent port as well as Barcelona and Civitavecchia – the port for Rome – operating a total of 17 cruises.

These include a nine-day British Isles itinerary on June 28 and a 12-day Iceland departure on July 7 from Dover.

Carnival Legend will sail in Europe until departing from Civitavecchia on October 26, 2024 on a repositioning cruise back to the US to its new homeport of Tampa in Florida.

Carnival Glory will also sail a 14-day transatlantic voyage on April 18, 2024, featuring European destinations, including Valencia, and Las Palmas before arriving to its new homeport of Port Canaveral in Florida.

The 2024 programme builds on this year’s European season which will see Carnival Pride run more than a dozen cruises between May and October from Dover and Barcelona.

Transatlantic voyages by Carnival Freedom were also added to the 2023 schedule, with voyages between Port Canaveral and Barcelona in the autumn.

Carnival Cruise Line president Christine Duffy said: “This extensive series for 2024 offers an excellent variety of itinerary lengths and options for our valued guests who want to experience Europe the best way possible: with our amazing crew providing outstanding service along with all the favourite venues aboard a ‘Fun Ship’.

“Our guests who sail with us in Europe enjoy exploring diverse and spectacular destinations across the continent while simultaneously enjoying the comfort and convenience of having the amenities they know and love available to them on board.”
