Carnival Cruise Line reopens weddings programme

Carnival Cruise Line is now taking reservations for weddings and vow renewals on sailings departing from September onwards.

With the help of Carnival’s dedicated team of training wedding planners, passengers can choose from ceremonies at sea, embarkation day weddings or ceremonies at select port of call destinations.

Passengers can even invite guests who are not sailing on the Carnival ship.

The line said the packages range from “intimate ceremonies to larger celebrations with family and friends”.

It has not offered weddings and vow renewals since March 2020 when cruise operations were brought to a standstill due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

However, the line added its wedding programme was currently limited to ex-US sailings.

Jeremy Schiller, vice president of operations, said: “For decades, Carnival has been the leading wedding operator in the cruise industry, so we are very excited to restart our wedding programme for our guests who have been longing to celebrate their nuptials on board our ships.

“Creating special memories for our guests is what we do, it’s who we are, and the time to help them live out the weddings of their dreams is back.”
