New ship Celebrity Beyond will be one of two Celebrity Cruises’ ships to be deployed year-round in the Caribbean from next year.
Celebrity Reflection will also be based in the region from April 2024 as part of a revamped Caribbean sailing schedule.
Both ships will include calls at parent company Royal Caribbean’s Perfect Day at CocoCay private island destination in The Bahamas for the first time.
Celebrity Beyond will run a mix of six to eight-night cruises from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to destinations such as Grand Cayman, The Bahamas, Mexico, the Dutch Caribbean islands of Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao, along with Perfect Day at CocoCay.
Celebrity Reflection’s range of almost 40 three to four-night itineraries next summer include Perfect Day together with Key West Bimini, also in The Bahamas.
The rest of the line’s Edge class ships will be based in northern Europe, the Mediterranean and Alaska in summer 2024, including Celebrity Apex sailing from Southampton from next May, first announced in November 2022.
Celebrity’s newest ship Celebrity Ascent will be deployed in the Med covering Greece, Turkey, Italy, France and Spain, while Celebrity Edge is to sail in Alaska,
The line’s president Laura Hodges Bethge said: “Our customers have been consistently asking for more opportunities to visit this stunning region [Caribbean] year-round and have expressed a desire for a private island destination.
“By introducing this new programme, we can offer an Edge series ship in all our top destinations for the summer season, and offer something new and historic to all our guests.
“Perfect Day is a destination like no other, and we are honoured to add it to our portfolio too.”
